Dispute a Change to Your Hours
A caregiver disputes a wrong change; the admin sees it and corrects the record — before it becomes a wage claim.
If a change to your hours is wrong, you can say so. VentoFlo lets a caregiver dispute a correction with a note, surfaces it to the administrator as an unresolved dispute, and lets the admin fix the record — before it turns into a wage-and-hour claim.
Step by step
- 1
Open the change
From “My Hours,” open the change you disagree with.
- 2
Flag it
Tap “That’s wrong.”
- 3
Say what you worked
Enter what actually happened — e.g. “I worked until 7 PM; I stayed to cover a call-out.”
- 4
Submit the dispute
Tap “Submit dispute.” It’s flagged and sent to your administrator.
- 5
Admin: see the dispute
On Hours & Overtime, a red banner names the caregiver, the shift, their note, and the original correction — “an unresolved dispute is what turns into a wage claim.”
- 6
Admin: correct it
Open the caregiver’s timesheet, edit the disputed shift back to the hours worked, and save. The caregiver is notified of the fix.
Why it matters
- Caregivers get a real, written channel to contest an incorrect change — instead of an off-the-record argument.
- The admin sees disputes prominently, with the caregiver’s account next to the original reason, so nothing gets lost.
- Resolving a dispute promptly and on the record is the difference between a corrected timesheet and a wage-and-hour claim.
